Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Welcome to St. Thomas Orthodox Church of India in Dover, New Jersey, U.S.A.! We belong to the American Diocese of the Indian Orthodox Church. The Indian Orthodox Church, also known as the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, the Church of St. Thomas, the Church of Malabar, and the Malankara Church was founded in the state of Kerala in India, by Saint Thomas the Apostle, around 52 AD.
All of the ancient and Orthodox rites of Christian celebration, initiation, instruction, prayer and meditation had their beginnings in the unbroken apostolic church of Christ and were developed in the first centuries after the Pentecost visitation of the Holy Spirit. Our church celebrates all the 7 sacraments of Baptism, Mooron, Confession, Communion, Marriage, and Unction. Holy Qurbana is in Malayalam & English as per the Syriac Liturgy of Apostle James and the first Bishop of Jerusalem, through whom the line of succession start with and which is accepted by most of the Orthodox Churches in the world.
St. Thomas Orthodox Church in Dover, NJ is developing a church community in Dover, New Jersey with the faith, practices and rituals of the Indian Orthodox Church, which is one of the trunk branch of the Orthodox Churches of the East (Oriental Orthodox Church). It acknowledges the confession of faith, canons, and rules of the Indian Orthodox Church duly consecrated according to the prescribed ritual of the Orthodox lines of Apostolic Succession descend from Eastern Patriarchates.

Our Church uses liturgy in Malayalam and English. We celebrate English Qurbana every fourth Sunday of every month.
We celebrate Holy Qurbana every Sunday at 9:30AM followed by lunch and Sunday School.
